Goodbye Summer, Hello September!! There’s something quite refreshing about September. Maybe it’s that most of us have had some form of holiday and are feeling up for getting busy again. Maybe its that secretly we all prefer the cooler weather. Personally I like it because unlike any other month you feel like you have everything ahead of you!

Ta-Dah! This is September, which means it’s the birth of a new congregation in Hope City Church - Accra! NEW! Never seen before in Ghana but the adventure has now begun. For a sports nut like myself this summer has been brilliant! From the vuvuzela dominated World Cup (‘vuvuzela’ has now made it into the Oxford English dictionary) to the emotional rollercoaster of Wimbledon (isn’t it always when you want a Brit to win!) it’s been a season of one great event after another. And despite Spain’s World Cup win and Rafael Nadal being crowned Wimbledon Champion it’s been pretty good as a team GB fan too.

I love building the local church; it’s a passion inside of me that doesn’t go away. I especially love hearing stories of lives that are being changed and those that are just jumping on board the journey; that’s what church is all about, love it.

I love taking on a challenge! I love that incredible feeling of facing something quite daunting and yet thinking 'lets have a go at it'! Just the other week I had one of those special moments as I looked at my carpet-less hallway with wooden laminate in one hand and a hammer in the other. I've never done it before, the task ahead was slightly scary but still there was small voice within that was saying 'lets have a go at it'!
