Newcastle: Simon Taylor

I love building the local church; it’s a passion inside of me that doesn’t go away. I especially love hearing stories of lives that are being changed and those that are just jumping on board the journey; that’s what church is all about, love it.

We watch a lot of sport in our household and I have noticed that players or sports people position themselves well. The highest scoring footballers score because they are placing themselves in great positions before they even get the ball. Swimmers that usually win are swimming in the best lane; normally it’s the middle lane. They all understand that positioning is everything. That can be the same for us in life, if we don’t make effort to position ourselves well in heart, mind, spirit and body, then we will not be getting the best that God has for us.

We have got some amazing things happening in the month of September in Hope City Newcastle. The new season ahead is looking so exciting and we are in expectation that God is going to do something awesome. On Sunday 5th September we are kicking of the new season with a Mega Prayer night at 6pm which is going to be a powerful night of touching heaven. Also Sunday 19th September at 6pm we have got Sunday Night Live back at St James’ Park which is a great night of worship and an inspired word brought to us from our Senior Minister Dave Gilpin. September sees the return of our students and also the re-launch of our Connect Groups. With so much going on I wanted to save the most important detail till last. On Sunday mornings only we are changing our church venue from St James’ Park to TIGER TIGER which is next to the Gate. There is plenty of parking at the Gate or the NCP.

Our first meeting at TIGER TIGER is on Sunday 5th September at 11am and every following Sunday morning after that.  We also have a full supervised kid’s programme for 2-10’s and a crèche’ facility for 0-2’s. We would love to see you there, so why not check us out.

See you there!
