Welcome to Hope City Church! So much is coming up for everyone in December in each of our SIX cities as we gear up for an amazing 2011. Consider yourself invited to be a part of the action!
Over the last few months Hope City Church has lived out some of it's finist moments in our nineteen year history so far including the launch of a congregation in Ghana, Africa, launched an incredible studio album produced by one of the industries finiest producers Eliot Kennedy, The Leeds Megacentre is in the midst of a massive overhaul to create a 400 seater auditorium, we had our best Fabulous Conference to date in October, we've had a huge flurry of visitors ching our congregations and loads of people saying 'Yes' to Jesus!
My highlight was at the end of November when we, as Hope City Enterprise, hosted TWO Night of Honour awards ceremonies back to back in Sheffield and Liverpool! Dignitaries, celebrities and people from all over the cities came to honour the unsung heroes of the community who have made a difference to other peoples lives or who have over come adversity to make the most of life. The stories were touching and there were many worthy winners. The Hope City Theatre Company performed at both of the special evenings with their most creative and exciting performances so far. Building Church is about building family and the Hope City Family is more than happy to add hundreds to the family photo this year! We've got stacks of family time planned this Christmas for all the family to celebrate what this season is all about.
Our annual Carols By Candlelight (or Glowsticks if you are a part of Newcastle of Birmingham!) Services are happening in all our cities with some Christmassy Carols, Mince Pies, a visit from Santa with a GIFT for all the kids and a stunning message from the Christmas story. All of your friends, families, work collegues and neighbours are invited so spread the word! PLUS don't forget ourspecial Christmas Services happening on Chrsitmas Eve and Boxing Day as we place Jesus at the top of the agenda this Christmas.
