Welcome to Hope City Church! Our 20th year of Hope City Church is proving to be our most exciting year yet. Come and be part of the action in one of our seven locations (soon to be eight)!
Wow!! Can you believe the year we've had so far? To date, 2011 has been one of the best Hope City Church has ever seen and it's not over yet. Whether you're in Sheffield, Liverpool, Leeds and Wharfedale, Newcastle, Birmingham, Accra or Lancashire (or even Frankfurt), it's great to have you on board!
At the end of June we held a huge service at Sheffield's City Hall with Pastor Steve Penny - a great friend of ours - to celebrate TWENTY amazing years of Hope City Church. Jenny and I are so
thankful for everyone involved over the years. Nearly 2000 people came to be a part of our birthday celebrations in City Hall, so whether you brought friends and family or if you were one of the many people
making the events on stage happen. Thank you - without you it wouldn't
have been such a success! The night has definitely marked the start of a new season in Hope City Church and we can't wait to see where God takes us next!
Summerfest registrations are open for all our teens and twentysomethings across our UK congregations. All our teenagers, students and young adults will be heading to Denbigh, North Wales from Wednesday 27th - Saturday 30th July. It's going to be an inspirational and memory making four days for the 11-30s so make sure you're booked in!
PLUS our Whizz Kids Camp is filling up with 7-12 year olds! They are in for a fantastic Pirate themed few days with the kids from all our UK locations. We would really encourage all parents to take the opportunity for a few days without the kids (you know you love it!) where you know that they are making friends, getting to know God for themselves and having stacks of fun in the process. It's been a real strengthening to so many children over the years and we know if will set them up for a great year of influence in their schools. Book in Today!!
We are now in seven locations because from 1st September we'll be welcoming Community Church Chorley to the Hope City family as our seventh congregation, becoming Hope City Church, Lancashire! David and Lisa Stoner have been dear friends of ours for several years now and we believe that this will be a huge blessing to both the new congregation and the rest of our church.
We're full of expectation for what the rest of this year will bring across all our congregations and beyond as God moves and his people rise up.
